It looks like spam, but they aren't advertising anything. It's just "fdsalfjv" and if you highlight the text, there are even more characters, like "asldfkjasldkfjcxzvhdhzvye zcvlh"
What's the point? They don't have any links. It clearly doesn't advertise anything. But I get one probably every day, and always when I am not online, so it's not like I am going to respond.
What is the point of the random yahoo messenger messages?
Some script kiddie is experimenting with breaking past the spam filters by using random rubbish. Spam filters have a hard time with random rubbish because "fjioudfbvh" does not look like "bgsuyebwe" even though we see the connection as "a bunch of random letters" the spam filter sees a strange f-word and a strange b-word. If neither are on the list of block me words, the spam filter thinks it's legit.
