How do I change back to my old Yahoo Messenger?

I updated my messenger and do not like it. With my poor eye sight the names of my friends are very dim. I can barely read them by squinting even with my glasses. HELP!

How do I change back to my old Yahoo Messenger?
I kept the old installation file on my computer so I could switch back if I did not like the new one. (didn't - did - LOL) Search your computer and see if it is still there. Or maybe a friend or family member can email you their old version. Version 6 is my favorite. File name is ymsgrie.exe. Good luck!
Reply:go to my computer add and remove and delete yahoo mesenger. Go to start-run-and type in %Temp% anf delete all temp files, no yellow files unless yahoo messenger is there. go to recycle bin and delete everything. also, doing this weekly will keep your computer running a bit faster and keep it cleaned of old files and downloads.. after recycle bin, type in yahoo mesenger and re -download. wish I could, I hate this web messenger as well.
Reply:I didn't care for the new messenger but have gotten used to it. If the typeface is too small, just go to preferences and change to a font you like and a larger size. That should do it without going thru all the trouble of uninstalling software.





In a pinch, you could always hold down the CTRL key and hit the + key to magnify things.
Reply:If you are using Version 9.0, it has too many problems. This is what I recommend:





First you have to uninstall the 9.0 version, or any other version you have. Go to CONTROL PANEL----than go to PROGRAMS/FEATURES, or ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. Scroll down till you see YAHOO MESSENGER. Click on it and than click UNINSTALL. Use this link below that I provided to install:

Reply:Go to this websites and it has all the older versions of yahoo IM. I use messenger 7 it seems to work the best for me. Hope this helps!!!
