How can i delete old pictures used in msn messenger?

I know that certain computers store the old pictures used for MSN messenger profiles. Surely these are stored some on my pc. It seems as though when I delete them using right click, they are still there when i next log on, any ideas, where the files are actually kept?

and 'change display picture'


There should be a link that when you highlight the d.p you can remove it or delete it. If not then you can always try right clicking on the subject then delete.
