How can I customize the alert tone on my blackberry pearl when receiving an IM from yahoo messenger ?

Everytime I receive an Instant message from yahoo messenger this alert tone which is extremely annoying comes on, with every word that is sent to me. How can I change it to maybe vibrate or silent?

To customize you Blackberry Profile rings and Alerts





From the BB main screen locate the Profiles icon


Select Profiles


Scroll to the Bottom and select Advanced...


Highlight the current (Active) profile and Select the BB Menu key


Select Edit


Go to Phone


Set Out of Holster from "VIBRATE+TONE to TONE" (up to you)


and In Holster "VIBRATE+TONE to TONE" (up to you)


hit the back arrow key then select SAVE





next the messages(this may seem redundant and tedious but it can be done) instead of changing it to TONE in stead change all options to "VIBRATE"


Preform the same steps above for


Messages - Alerts


Messages - New Messages


Messages[email@email.com]******(WHAT YOU WANT TO EDIT)


SMS Test


MMS
Reply:i don't think you can change it you would have to put your phone on vibrate or silent %26amp;%26amp; turn the volume down.
Reply:Press Menu





Then go to your sound settings (the volume icon that that u change ur profile to)





Go to advance





and there should be an option within sms text or IM tones.
