What does my msn (windows messenger) partner perceives when I delete them from my contact list?

If don't talk to somebody at all and I delete them from the partners list in order not to see them being on-line or logging in, what do they see? Do they receive any alerts from msn? Do they still see me on their list, and in this case am I simply always off-line?

if you blocked them before deleting them they only see you offline and cannot send you any messages


it you did not block them before deleting they can still see you online and send you messages
