I have a Dell Inspiron 1420 laptop with Vista. Whenever I try to download Windows Live Messenger, it always fails to download and says I need the latest updates. Then, when I try to search for updates, it says error code: 8000FFFF. Any help?

should be a bug or the firewall might be blocking it.
If it's not the firewall, then better download the update from a different computer, then install it to your computer. or sustem restore your computer to when you may have download updates before.

Reply:well when i got my vista, it downloaded the msn at the begining when u install and adjust the settings.
