How can I find out who hacked into my windows live messenger?

Is there any way at all I can find out who hacked into my Windows Live Messenger account? They don't seem to have changed anything but whenever I was logged in, sometimes it logged me out saying I logged in on a different computer. Also, my friend told me I was online at 1am which I wasn't. I haven't given my password to anyone. Is there a way I can find out who hacked in?

No not really, the best thing to do is change your password as soon as possible. Also change your secret question too. This will ensure that no one will be able to re-enter your windows live account. Also run a spyware scanner on your PC - just to make sure there arent any keyloggers etc installed.



Reply:There is no way of finding this out yourself, if you report the issue to MSN/windows live they themselves can access where your account is being logged into using the Ip address however they can't share this with you all they can do is give the information to the police who will follow up the complaint. However its unlikely to be anyone you know, more likely to be spyware thats infected your PC. Uncheck any of the remember me options, run all your spyware and anti-virus programs and see what comes up. Also go in and change your password and your secret question. If it is someone you know they will have gotten in either guessing your password if you've used something like your pets name or date of birth or they have answered your secret question so set these both to random options and just keep a note of them. Best passwords to have contain numbers letters and characters such as _ or -. so spring_rainbows1234 is far better then just writing springrainbows. Its harder for people to guess and its also harder for random hackers to crack.
Reply:Believe it or not..accounts,computers and profiles are mostly hacked due to password sharing.While you are on windows live messenger,any good hacker can hack your account through you IP address..even photo sharing can be one of the causes of hacking.Well you'll have to ask a good hacker itself to know who hacked into your windows messenger live.Or maybe if you have shared your password with some that person must have told another one and maybe this is how your windows live messenger was hacked.

it might not necessarily be a hacker,


you might've logged in on another computer and put 'sign me in automatically', like for example your grandmother's computer, and she was on the computer at one in the morning.


just an example.


maybe one of your friends was over at your house and saw you type in your password. and they decided to log into your account just for fun.

sign me in automatically checked because people can still hack in to you're computer, a similar thing has happened to me in the past.


now i always sign in .


never keep anything checked(ticked)
